Right, I have decided to have a play about with my options to create a list for my BA successor army.

I think this list seems ok but not sure if i should change anything in it to "improve" it a bit more. So far I have got;

HQ;
Captain with Storm shield - 120 pts

Elites;
5 x Assault Terminators with Thunder Hammers and Storm shields - 225 pts
5x Assault Terminators with Lightning claws - 200 pts

Troops;
3 x 10 man Assault Squads with 2 melta guns each - 600 pts

Fast Attack;
2 x Baal Predators with heavy bolter sponons - 290 pts

Heavy Support:
2 x Vindicators with Siege Shields - 310 pts

Did do an alternate version dropping one of the assault squads and taking another Vindicator which I have played with and it didnt do so well, but I think the extra troop unit in this version might work a bit better. Works out at 1,745 points so i could always swap out on meltagun for a plasma gun.

Any ideas on if this is a reasonable list or not?

Just wondered if you considered a librarian with jp at 125pts as your hq?

definetly a libby instead of the captain. BA captains are quite useless TBH. Also, a stormraven could help against enemy flyers and as a terminator delivery transport?

I hadn't thought of that at all! I have got a Libby from the DV set, might get a jump pack and magnetise it and the "normal" power pack to give me the option for him.

I would also consider dropping the melta in favour of plasma.

I've been playing with a 1750 list of BA's thats 2 Librarians with 2 honour guard (all plasma)
4 Assault squads with 2 Plasma and thats about it.

It's a very fluid army to use and very effective, its also quite a lot of fun as most opponents don't actually know what to do against it! (apart from Tricksy Dark Elder players that is)

Only really basing it on the models I have at the moment so I may end up getting a Storm Raven if its worth having, only thing is I am not a big fan of them, I think they are a bit of an odd size.

Would rather use a Thunderhawk and a Storm Talon if I had to but the Talon isnt a BA option!
