I don't like the thought of playing as a traitor but would love the opportunity to paint one of them. Do we know when the next HH book is out, and if so will it contain loyalists?

They will eventually all be made, but there is no specific timeline for when.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

To be fair, Leman Russ was an Imperial Commander in Rogue Trader, not a primarch.

Doesn't it seem weird to *only* release traitor primarchs?

Not really, given that their legions are the focus of the first book. So far we've only seen one model, and the four sets of rules. That's hardly a trend.

For the Horus Heresy?

Horus Heresy?

No. Makes 100% sense to release the main 4 traitor legions. Provides a solid basis for the rest of the heresy series. Much better than spreading out the big 4.

Loyalist portions of the big 4.

and Primarch-less armies of the other 14 legions.

Don't forget the forgeworld stuff has always been more fluff orientated then the normal GW releases. The first book only covers the purging of the legions, the next primarchs will probably be Ferrus Manus, Corax and Vulkan along with Lorgar, Perturbo, Alpharius & Curze. Although with that many primarchs getting involved in the second stage the drop site massacre might be broken up into the first wave and second waves with regards to books and releases when they do it.

Generally they said they are going to try for four primarchs/legions a book, so it'll likely be waves.

The GD'12 Horus Heresy Q&A. Talks abou the first and second book with plans for the entire line. This should answer most HH questions. As far as I now this is the most current information.

No. Did you not know that the first book was about the betrayal at Istivaan III? That's where 4 of the Traitor Legions (Sons of Horus, Death Guard, World Eaters, and Emperor's Children) culled the loyalists from their ranks. There weren't ANY loyalist Primarch there.

Books 2 and 3 will cover the Drop Site massacre. You can expect to see the introduction of Vulkan, Ferrus Manus, Konrad Curze, Perturbo, Alpharius and/or Omegon, Corax, and Lorgar. As to who will be in book 2 or 3, that's anyone's guess.

Just hold your horses. They're coming.
