Does anyone have a link to Imperial Map symbols? Something fluffy for like locations of major/minor cities, armories, fortresses, mining that sort of thing?

The only map I can really think of is either the city plan of Vervunhive, or the land map of Armageddon.

Think of something clever to say.

I guess im kind of looking for something with a little more detail then triangles and squares lol and would work on these maps (to give perspective)

Those are some very pretty maps. Remind me of the old Final Liberation game. Oh Emperor, how I loved that one.

Arcsquad12: Nice - bigger and sharper version. Good find.

I also found another map in the Codex Planetstrike, but that one - whilst looking neat - doesn't have any military symbols...

If you don't like the ones from GW (I have to say, I rather like the triangles ), perhaps Forgeworld's Imperial Armour books would have something? They often tell a story about some big military campaign, at times featuring cool maps.

Or how about just using a Mechanicus-style cog symbol for "valuable technical facility"?

ooooh i like that for forge areas

I think the shapes could work, I'm trying to build a conquest game out of my maps. But i could see how like a rectangle would represent an army and the number on the rectangle could be the point value of the army. The line/triangle symbol could be a trench works running along a territory. Triangles could be heroic characters. Circles could be bastions, or forts. Does that seem cool?
