Well, I strongly dislike the pose for the Failcast Belial model, so my FLGS was selling all the DA stuff last night, and my 4 boxes of terminators and Nephilim are in hand. That being said I decided to kit bash my own Belial. Let me know what you think.

Looks pretty cool, not a fan of the wings on the back but thats just personal preference

Yeah, I wanted him to stand out from the rest of them, so he will be the only one with the wings. it's meant as the sergeant upgrade but I don't like it nearly enough for that. I think it fits with his "status" a bit better though.

I like it much more...it does, however, remind me of the metal chaplain in terminator armor pose the way his head is cocked sideways and the storm bolter is being aimed...that's not necessarily a bad thing....if you don't already have that model in your list then i'm sure it'll be fine.

Except for the wings sticking up, I really like it.

I agree on the termie chap pose, I think it's just opposite hands, I do plan to have a termie chap at some point, but I think the colors and all the stuff on Belial will make him look a bit differently.

The only problem I have found with the new DW kits is honestly posing and that there are only 5 different heads for Knights. I understand the limitations of making a kit like that, but it would have been nice to have a little more variety, as it sits I will just have to get creative on the posing.

I like it a lot better than the GW model, and I actually like the wings on his back. Makes him look very dark angelish.

Thanks again guys! Nice to see that people are liking it, I do have to say though, sadly this army will not be painted for a while yet, I have dedicated myself to finishing my Sons of Horus first. These guys are going to get assembled for a friendly game in the next couple weeks and then they will be placed on a shelf to sit for a bit.

I also have an idea involving a Nephilim Jetfighter that will come along with the army, I will be painting it in Deathwing colors however as I do not care much for the Ravenwing side of things, but need a flyer to combat all of the other flyers that will be in the other armies on the table.

And here he is with a little paint! Sorry, he is not based as I have not figured out how to base these guys, Let me know of any suggestions! It will be completely DW. I also have a Nephilim Jetfighter that I painted up in DW Colors for something unique.

Nice work. The green and the bone are great, but the reds are a bit flat. Is that just the picture? Maybe try another highlight on the reds?

it may just be the pictures, I will have some better pictures once they are all based and complete, this is still kind of WIP alongside my Sons of Horus.

I like it a lot and it looks even better painted, well done.

Kaap -- Yes they are all parts from the new terminator box. and I kind of thought the wings were the replacement for the banner, not sure I like the idea of a guy carrying his own banner, it just kinda says "SHOOT ME, I'm Important!"

Dave -- I used the Legs for the Knight Commander (Studs on the left leg), Torso for the Knight Commander (DA icon on chest), Sword and arm meant for the command squad SGT, Stormbolter Arm for Command Squad Sgt,Wings meant for Command Squad Sgt, Cloak meant for Command Squad Sgt, and the head from the Knight that showed the majority of the face. -- I will not be using the wings, sword or cape on any other models in my army as to make Belial stand out.

Aegis -- I primed white, used the Citadel Bleach Bone as a basecoat, then washed the entire model with a thin coat of Seraphim Sepia, then went over the entire model again with bleach bone, staying away from the recesses and such as to leave them a little darker, then detailed and finally washed the recesses one more time with a fine detail brush and Seraphim Sepia just to give them a little "dirtier" appearance.
