Chimera load out used to be ML/HF almost 100% of the time...
With the rule changes im stuck :S I want to take HB for the extra shots, but HF have come in handy...
Any Thoughts or experience with the new rules in this regard to maybe help ease my decision?

It usually depends on the loadout of the squad. If it's a unit that's generally going to be more static (i.e. transporting a unit with a heavy weapon) or you're not going to want to be at 6" or less (e.g. tri-plas likes to be right at 12" but not really close) then go for the Heavy Bolter. Otherwise the Flamer is going to get you more mileage.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

HB will usually have to snap fire (since Chimeras almost always move), and a BS 1 HB is worthless.
The HF will usually be out of range, but when it does work it is extremely effective.
Conclusion: keep taking ML/HF.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |
