Hey guys, haven't posted in a while, so I just thought I'd get back on the site with a new list of crons!
Anyway, me and a friend have a game planned soon and I'd like to keep a winning streak going, so we decided rather than 1500 points we'd go for 2000, so here's what I have for it, I'd just like to see what you guys think, and if it'll be suited to taking out the nasty new Dark Angels.
HQ:
Anrakyr the Traveler
Overlord
Phase shifter, Warscythe
Destroyer Lord
Sempiternal Weave
Court 1
2x Cryptek (Harbinger of Destruction)
1 Lord
Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs, Resurection Orb
Court 2
1x Cryptek (Harbinger of the Storm)
2x Lords
Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs, Resurection Orb
Troops:
10x Immortals (Gauss, Eternals)
Night Scythe
10x Immortals (Tesla)
10x Immortals (Tesla)
Heavy support:
Annihilation Barge (Gauss)
Annihilation Barge (Gauss)
Fast Attack:
5x Canoptek Wraiths
Whip Coils
Elites:
Triarch Stalker
Essentially Anrakyr and the Eternals, along with the storm Cryptek and 1 Lord will be mounted in the Night Scythe to provide fast moving and mobile Anti-Tank fire whilst the other Immortals take up both flanks accompanied by an Annihilation Barge each, The Destroyer Lord will move with the Wraiths to pin down or possibly take out any big and nasty CQC threats like the new Knights etc. the Stalker is equipped with only the basics to provide more Anti-Tank power at medium range.
Well that's it for this list, unfortunately I'm not sure what my Dark Angels opponent will be using as we decided to keep armies anonymous until the day, but I'd love any feedback from you guys, thanks a lot!
It's good to be back!

Why are you sticking Anrakyr in with the Eternals? That's just a waste, they already have Furious Charge and Counter-attack.

Why not? it gives him some protection and well having 4 attacks with a strength 8 Warscythe provides at least some CQC defence, should they ever need it, plus his free arrow comes in handy every so often. Having him there proves better for me than having him footslogging, plus the Night Scythe allows for a quick escape, making him and the Eternals a real hit and run unit.

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many points sunk into the royal courts...between your 3 HQ's (which unless you are playing double force org) is illegal, and the courts, you have over 600 points....1/3 of your army, sunk into them.
1) I'd drop the Vanilla OL, grab Anrakyr a CCB (net gain of 65 pts)
2) Grab a 6th wraith. (35 pts)
3) Drop a whole royal court (working with #1) for another Annihilation Barge (160 pts)
4) Grab a stormtek and x5-6 warriors to put into the NightScythe, then let the Eternals foot slog. (100 pts)
You'd Still have points left over, and a over all more effective army.

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

I'm aware that I'm using 3 HQ's, and to clarify yes we are using dual charts, so it is legal, and a lot of people say to me about those courts, the thing is, they have there uses, and honestly never do me much wrong, The high investment in Lords is simply to keep my Immortals alive whilst taking in a lot of fire, and the Crypteks help by picking off the odd troop or sometimes deliver a killing blow on vehicles, although I see why I could possibly reconsider them and free up some points for elsewhere. 1. Honestly, I'm not all too fond of CCB's, they tend to never show there worth, plus I feel like Anrakyr gains his points back with his unit of Eternals more than enough to keep him there. 2. 2 Barges are enough I think, a 3rd has no real place other than as a sitting target. (Plus I only have 2 to go with anyway) 3. I would consider more Immortals over Warriors with a Stormtek, (Simply because, again, I only have Immortals and no Warrior models) And I see why they could work, however even if I did choose warriors over Immortals I'd really question there survivability over the Eternals currently mounted inside the Night Scythe. Finally I think dropping the other court is a good idea, but I need those Lords and the Storm Cryptek at least, leaving only 70 points to drop, however the Overlord could be done without I suppose, so that's a likely change, other than that, I'd add the extra Wraith as suggested, costing 45 points, which leaves me 105 ( I think), what else could I invest in, other than another Annihilation Barge and Warriors? Thanks for the feedback though! PS: Just realised that I need another troops choice, so I'll take another squad of 10 Gauss Immortals, and if I can squeeze the points in, another Lord with the same loadout.

I think I know where you came up with this idea for an army - I've been experimenting with similar setups for a long time now
t's a good direction you're heading, but You spent way too much points on HQ / Courts - they are not as awesome as they look and may disappoint when overused.
When I started using a very minimal HQ, I was surprised by how more effective the army became
You are right to distrust the CCB - it gets easily broken in CC and than you're transport less - it's no longer the awesome turbo-boost killer it used to be back in 5th ed :(
Anyway, my generic list is very similar to yours Have a look and see if it's something You'd consider to take for a test

Well it does look like we share very similar lists, and I like the idea of having 3 Night Scythes, but I have to say that, I understand why there is a lot of disagreement about the HQ choices, and well, I've decided that Anrakyr and a single Storm Cryptek will be enough, which will free up 220 points, as well as sticking with 5 Wraiths, giving me 265 to spend, which will hopefully be filled in by another squad of Immortals and a Lord which is kitted out with the same as the others, taking me up to 1995 points, hopefully that'll keep me up with enough firepower to deal with such opponents as the Dark Angels which will be my opponents soon enough.
PS: I love the idea behind your list, it looks like it could certainly hold it's own against most anything, I'd hate to have to face that anyday.

You misunderstand.
Anrakyr grants any unit he joins Furious Charge & Counter-attack. Eternals will already gain those special rules from being upgraded, so sticking him in will be a waste. Take one of the other squads of Immortals, have Anrakyr join those guys, and BAM, effectively two squads of Eternals. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, for maximum effectiveness, attaching a Destr-tek with Gaze of Flame and a ResOrb Lord to a squad of 10 Tesla Eternals will make one hell of a tough unit to shift from objectives.

Ofc, IXBEHEMOTHXI - you have to make a list that suits YOU Not always a "auto-win" list works the same for different players Good luck, and power to the Necrons!

One major concern that I see is that at 2000pts you only have 3 troops, which can be a problem if your troops aren't mobile. And with only 1 transport your troops are footslogging it up the board which is a big problem since they can't quickly get to an objective late game.
I would drop the shifter Overlord or at the very least drop the shifter, its too expensive for what it does, for a cheaper price you can get MSS and a Weave which makes him better at torrent fire and PW's while making him a lot better in challenges.

I see your point but if you read the comments above you'll see that I have removed him and the 2 Destruction Crypteks in place of more more Immortals and another Lord to boot.
