Hey, so I play Space wolves, and I've been toying with the idea of using the army painter technique, but was wondering if it was worth it. I would use the spray/primer, and the quickshade, and do some highlighting, and drybrushing after. Anyone have any experience doing Space wolves with the army painter route? I have a MASSIVE army, and simply don't have the time to do painstaking paintjobs on them all. And want to get a good looking army on the table in a short amount of time. Any tips, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I personally have not used the spray but was also interested in it so I'd love to see how yours turn out. I will say for your details and dry brushing though that armypainters brushes are awesome! their line with the white handle (wargamer or warmaster something to that effect) is AMAZING! I have several brushes ((never tried rosemary even though I've heard great reviews)) but if you're getting other stuff from them why not throw in some brushes. the insane detail and small trybrush are awesome and more than worth the dough.

In my last few armies I really only use army painter as I've grown far to lazy to do any actual real painting. Its all about the rush to table top quality for me. Generally speaking I'll use a spray primer (doesnt have to be army painter) then after the color primer is applied I will do some quick highlights then I dip and clear coat. Super easy way to get an army done quick and the results tend to be a pretty solid table top quality once you get the hang of it.

I've used it on my Badmoon (Yellow) and Evil Sunz (Red) Orks, and I have had nothing but good results.

I am using army painter :black on my IG, the army has just grown so large I can be bothered to pain it totaly by hand. I am probably gonna use army painter on my BA also later this year. This is of course all before I get my hands on an airbrush and compressor around September.

Thanks guys, I think I'm sold on it. All told, I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 marines, and a bunch of other stuff, so 8hours per model is just not realistic. Maybe more time on Hq's/special characters, but not the rank and file.
