Hey everyone, I'm sure this question has been asked and answered a million times but as I can't seem to find any specific answer to it when I search I would like to know if a unit with the DEEP STRIKE special rule is attached to a dedicated transport does that transport arrive with the unit at the same time as the DEEP STRIKE takes place. Essentially what I'm asking is can you deep strike a land raider with a squad of terminators in it onto any point on the battle field. I know that scatter will then take effect but that isn't the concern.

If someone could link specifically where they find a YES, or a NO that would be awesome. I know you can use a dedicated transport to arrive from reserves so why can't you do the same with a vehicle...other then the obvious point of how the hell does a land raider just appear on a battle field. Yes the CSM codex does allow land raiders to be taken as dedicated transports and so does the C: DA which yes those are my two armies. It specifically states on pg 99 of the new C: DA "DeathWing Knights may select a Land Raider of any type as a Dedicated Transport (pg 104). This vehicle must be given the DeathWing assault Vehicle upgrade at additional cost." So yes it is a dedicated transport for both armies I own and yes I would really love to do this. As I said I CAN NOT find any where in the BRB or any codex that denies a land raider from deep striking with its unit inside of it. Thanks for the in put so far

Thank you that does seem the logical answer. I'm mostly just annoyed that you can infiltrate a squad with a dedicated transport but can't deep strike a squad with a dedicated transport. I see the fluff/story line points to it, just makes me annoyed
