Is a pure World Eaters army in the new codex any good? If I only include Khorne Berzerkers and models with the Mark of Khorne, would I win games?
Thanks!

You're losing Heldrakes, The Fiends, Rhinos and Land Raiders

Yeah, you would "win games", but not regularly.

It sort of depends on your meta, but for the most part, it can work. It's probably a good idea to still include some long-range fire support, whether autocannon havocs, obliterators, vehicles, or whichever flavor you like, but so long as you take more than one unit of melee dudes, you should be able to do alright with them.

We've a player around here that's going World Eaters, with Kharne, Berserkers, Khorne CSMs, Cultists, and Possessed, and he's actually been doing pretty well so far. Khorne units throw out an insane amount of attacks, and Kharne will carry just about any unit you toss him into.

We've got loads of players of loads of armies - there's GK, IG, other CSM Khorne players, Blood Angels, vanilla Space Marines, Dark Eldar and Horus Heresy. We don't seem to have a Necron, SoB or Eldar player.

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.

IG and DE will be tough for a full World Eater list.

If you're doing World Eaters, why not run a Horus Heresy list?

Not a problem. If you're not familiar with the list, I can assure you it does a fantastic job of fitting the legions it is trying to represent, especially the HQ's and Elites that are Legion-Specific. Very solid for running such a fluffy army as a full WE force.

Plus, you can get Angron. That's just...awesome.

One fun idea is also to combine them with Khornate chaos daemons. I'm working on a list right now that combines the two. Skulltaker is a treasure.

Don't forget also the Daemon Prince (CSM version) who can take the burning brand for some flying ranged shinanigans or a daemon weapon for more close combat goodness.

I played against dark angels with a list consisting of

Kharn
12 Berzerkers
10 CSM
Lord on a Juggernaught (with the axe etc)
Maulerfiend
Obliterators
Allies
Bloodthirster
10 Bloodletters

It was fun and I'd recommend khorne - the main point is all the characters are lethal but digital - as in either on or off.You either slaughter everyone mercilessly or they kill you first. There were no epic fights in that game. (Previous game Lucius vs Corbulo - could have gone either way, was a very 'cinematic' challege)
But Khorne characters against standard marines = you may as well just remove the marines

(and I know it wasn't 'true' khorne as oblits + maulerfiend aren't khorne, but imo the maulerfiend fit in quite well. I used it as bait to lure marines nearer so I chould charge with Kharn)

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.
