Hi dakka, as in the title would using the DA model as a C:SM stormtalon be reasonable for a game - casual or otherwise? I notice that the weaponry is almost entirely similar in appearance, and I much prefer the design of the model when compared to the official stormtalon. Thoughts?

I would personally allow it, as IMHO the Nephilim is what the stormtalon SHOULD have looked like (minus the DA iconography)

I would definitely allow it. WYSIWYG is for equipment and weapons, not "appropriate wing design as per the intended model". I would do it myself, if you couldn't buy 1.5 Storm Talons for the price of a DA flyer to be proxied as the same thing.

The only "problem" I could see anyone having with this is people saying the avenger cannon doesn't quite look like a twin linked assault cannon. To me that's a pretty ticky tack opinion though. I personally was planning on the nephillim being my first flyer and proxying it as a storm talon. However being almost the same price as a storm raven puts me off pretty bad.

So in summary I say go for it. No one should have any problems because you can a load out that's super similar to the talon.

If you were totally fucussed on wysiwyg you could easily pick up a couple of assault cannon to make the proper tl mount.

Yeah, do a weapon swap so that _all_ are wysiwyg, and remember to always point out to opponents that it counts-as a stormtalon, and I doubt you'll get any complaints.
