i know it sounds silly in comparison to the fades and freehand of this Stormraven, but your basing has long been my favorite...
you always seem to succeed in evoking a setting for each mini, and you've painted so many, yet you seem to get it right every time...

You have heard me say over and over that the bases are just about my favorite part of each mini! I guess that came from trying to establish a story behind each of my armies, and became an obsession. Even the Tomb Kings had to have an entirely different kind of basing from the Lizards, and so on.

For my Adepticon Dark Eldar army, I am trying something a little different. I intentionally chose units that would be on flying bases, so that I could incorporate little duels with assault marines, or even marines in the process of being chopped into pieces by bladevanes!

Amazing. The combination of the full model colour blend and the amazing free hand makes this model a real stand out.

The colour choice of red blending into yellow is exquisite. The fact that you did not surrender to a single technique (blending vs. details and free hand) makes each and every model a "wow!" piece.

My favourite is the comptemtor + drop pod combo. Amazing.
