In a slight digression from my normal 40k stuff, I recieved this model for my Christmas from my Brother, largely because we like tooling round in them in Battlefield 3
I haven't done a non- GW kit in about 15 years and had forgotten how detailed they can get Individual armour plates, handles, tow loops and lifting points are fiddly things
I'm also going to see if I can use this to practice with my dad's new airbrush... hopefully I won't just ruin what is a lovely detaled model!
Its a Trumpeter model, if anyone is interested, and came with some rather nice etched brass bits, that I mostly ignored for the pre-cast plastic alternatives

Would you mind measuring it for me?
For ... Reasons. The kit looks awesome.

You can find the dimensions of any model vehicle by looking up the real life size and dividing it by the scale. (Not always perfectly, but close enough for games.)
The LAV25 in 1/35th scale will be 18.25 cm long by 7.1 cm wide by 7.7 cm high.

Trumpeter got this one nicely exact. Length is about 18.5cm height to top of turret is about 7.5cm, with another cm or so of gubbinz above and its about 8cm wide
I'll upload a comparison to a chimera shortly, but the LAV is massive in comparison. A 1:48 scale might be better if you can find such a beast. Another similar alternative I found is the Claymore APC from Old Crow.
Automatically Appended Next Post: With some more comparison pics
And one of the horribly fiddly, but detailed undercarriage

Scale models can quickly remind you how much detail gaming kits dont have. They also serve well to remind you how weapon sizes are compared to the rest of the vehicle in real life.
