Well, here it is, at last. Not a superb job, but well, I do like it.
Tips, and feedback welcome.

That Hammer has S10 written all over it.
Nice use of the yellow shoulder pad to give him an Imperial Fist color.
I see the blue wash you used, but what is the base color...they have a very nice effect used together.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Here?
Great stuff, Dakota! I think that you did a phenomenal job positioning and basing him in such a way as to keep the hammer from looking too large. Now it just looks fearsome. Really good work with that dynamic pose, too! I'd like a shot from the other side, though! Your hammer is good, but what does the shield look like?
I'm assuming he's Deathwatch? (That appears to be the Inquisitorial Signet on that skull...) Your freehanding is good, much better than my own at that height. Have you thought of investing in a Micron pen? They can give some really great results for teeny tiny writing.
The only real suggestion I have is on the white things hanging from the cord around his chest. (I can't really tell what they are, to be honest, but I assume that's distance rather than any fault of your own.) From this angle they look just a little bit pasty, and I think you might want to use thinner coats (and more of them) if you're doing white. (Arguable, the hardest color to do...)
But don't get me wrong for a second, this is a GREAT piece. I love the techno-industrial look of the hammer, which is way more ornate than the ones I scratch-built. Awesome stuff.

The hammer is made from a psilencer, a reliq from the GK TDA sprue, a cover of a book from the smae sprue and the handle is the nemesis staff.

Hi, thanks for all!
I'll upload a shot from the shield later, I can't now.
Yeah, he's Deathwatch, and I have a micro pen here but don't know where it is
The white things are feathers (the model is the autocannon TDA from DV.
In a future, I'll make the left shoulder an Deathwatch one, but now neither I have the time nor the pieces for doing so.

Awesome counts as for Lysander....and much cheaper as well. Love the hammer and the base. The paint job is decent and you gave him a good dynamic pose.

Is that mithril silver (or modern paint equivalent) with many layers of thin blue glaze from the new gw lines Automatically Appended Next Post: Thats also one bad ass hammer. Possibly the first model that attacks at initiative -1 lol. Superb! Automatically Appended Next Post: Pictures of the shield would be nice too!
