I have been looking at Bushido models. Quite sumptuous.

The game looks interesting just looking at the cards. Haven't read the rules yet.

Yea or nay? Any comparisons?

I've been tempted for a while. I had a demo game with Sam from Square Orange Games last year and really enjoyed it (despite myself, actually). And the new miniatures releases get better and better (after a rather lacklustre second wave).

Having just heard the review and interview on World's End Radio, I think I may be ready to take a punt on a starter set... just as soon as the lead mountain has been cleared!

Too many games! So little time...

I used to play when it first came out, but the buzz seems to have died down around the FLGS so it doesn't seem to attract much attention anymore (just seems standard business trend, hype to begin, massive drop, levels out around the middle).

I think one of the limiting factors was there was only 4 factions and limited models, so you ended up playing the same lists over and over again. I've been thinking about trying a revival (I play Savage Wave, but perhaps I may migrate to the Cult or Yurei), but the old wallet is telling me no...

I've played a few games. The system is a bit odd - it is taking us ages to play, but that might be due to our novice status - but it does give a very strong feeling of getting into duels against each other. There is a lot of enjoyment to be found in selecting your dice, weighing up your objectives in this given fight and whether to try and kill the enemy outright or just try to survive. The game also has a pleasant focus upon doing stuff, not just hitting each other - like Infinity, you only really want to kill things to clear a path.

The biggest downside for me is that there is so much to keep track of - ki, tired/exhausted, wounds, frenzy tokens, etc - but hopefully once I get the new cards in the post I'll be able to handle that easier.

Just because I can, here is a photo of my newly completed models
