Center top? It looks like a power tetsubo, or power mace.

No. You can pretty much only use it as a Power Maul.

Without conversion it is a power blunt weapon. That fits into 'Power Maul'.

if it's a blunt weapon like a mace or staff, it's a power maul;

If thats how you want to use it okay Generally you want to stick with corvus hammers anyway.

Would make a great Mace of Redemption (seriously, it's a power tetsubo, that is awesome). Hell, it could even be a credible counts-as thunder-hammer.

Power bat? Maybe if somebody wants to make an Angry Marines army they can use it.

But yeah, it counts as a power maul.

Honestly I prefer the Corvus Hammer to either of the two power weapon choices. Unless you know you will be hitting up marines and not see a single TEQ, the sword seems like a great way of giving yourself a weapon that will come back to bite you in the arse. Same with the maul. Unless you know you are going up against a lot of low-save stuff then the Corvus Hammer is a much better choice.

It can handle MEQ and TEQ (the latter at initiative) because it is rending, it handles high T targets because it is S5. It can even handle light vehicles because of rending. Sure, a bad bit of luck could bite you in the arse, but on average rending and high S will really roll some heads.

I just can't see not wanting to keep Corvus Hammers on everything you can. It helps that they also look awesome.

Just give it to a Slaanesh Chaos Marine player. I'm sure they can think of a use for it.

Alone in the warp.
