Can we get the prices in GBP as well please.

They are really tasty, but will wait till they are released to see reviews on the mold line issue. My teams I got with my KS had horrendous mold lines on them and would not like to go though that again!

Great post from James there. The Dreadball community is still young and growing fast. I hear of stories of more and more people playing the game (its not even a year old!), I myself have giving several demos at my club and I believe Mantic have sold over twice as much core sets then from the KS so they must be doing something right. So lets not throw hisses at each other (all the different forums) and scare new people away, we have a great game here and its going to be great watching it grow!

Have played dozens of games. It's absolutely fantastic. If people say yeah its broken the rules are unbalanced blah blah blah without actually playing the game then i say balls to you! Go out and actually play the game. And its the usual faces who are constantly complaining, sometimes I think they complain just for the sake of it. Its gotten to the point where I see the usual names and skip there posts.

Dreadball has been prominently featured over at Dropzone Games, a store local to me, but I don't know if they've gotten leagues going or not... I'm very interested in trying it out once Season 3 hits and I can get my tentacled team

Great thing is because it is REALLY cheap to get a team you should just pick one up and start gaming so when the season 3 stuff comes it will be easier to get your head around the teams. When I Demo DB at the club I only use Season 1 teams as they have less additional rules compared to Season 2. Also I feel your missing out on a great game so I order you to go and play iI

If the bug is still in and no fix announced, then why do Mantic fans claim that Mantic listens to customer feedback better than GW?

That you can even compare GW customer feedback to Mantics is laughable!

Prior to this point, it was generally very bad play by the controlling player to allow that situation to happen, and that's why the rule was as harsh as it was; it was a penalty for not thinking ahead.

No, it was a penalty for thinking ahead. Remember, you are being punished for having a player in a position where they could catch the throw-in. In a real sport, this is a good thing. It is a failure of the rules that this is not at least neutral in Dreadball.

Have you actually played the game?

Would've liked them better with helmets on.

I'm not really to disappointed about the Strider as I found it odd that a basic corporation grunt was with the Enforcers, though I could see how it could be confusing.

I suppose the differences in Ork appearance could be explained by the fluff in that the Marauders were engineered and that their faction is composed of more than just straight orks. The difference in appearance could be due to there being subsequent generations coming about on their own after escaping Corporate control. Without them controlling, they were free to mingle and breed among themselves resulting in different strains of ork. Some of them could also be hybrids with other Marauder races like the goblins, hobgoblins, ogres and trolls. There, appearance issue solved.

Like the idea but the Marauders were colonized on several systems before the Corporations first contact. They had aload of battles and the Corporation lost a load of em. So they captured a load of Orx and said, 'hey you can work for us or you can have a bullet to the brain'. A few centuries later they rebelled and became mercenaries.

Any idea what he is holding? Is it a pain stick or cattle prod?

I imagine it to be some sort of cattle prod, goading his fellow orxs and gobbos into battle.

Ok apart from the Hulks tiny legs and the plagues stretched out look (which is there design from the beginning) I'm not seeing what the huge issue is here with the others legs? Are people complaining just to complain?

Longtime Dakkanaut

Really happy with everything apart from the Hulk.

Well with a statement like that your better not saying anything at all then.

Really dislike the Asterians, maybe with a head swap of Nightshade MVP? Can't make my mind up about the Zees though as well as the Nameless, though I love the Teratons!

I don't mind the FF range (absolutely love the DB designed FF) but I'll wait till it's all one material as I absolutely despise Mantics Hybrid kits (had some bad experience with there enforcer hybrids).

I've had a quick gander over the pdf. It seems good, though I'm inwardly cringing at finding how difficult the teratons will be. I was looking forward to them but I'm now really not sure I fit their playstyle. They've got the difficulty of goblin jacks scoring, combined with the ease of dwarfs falling over.

That might be because I've not really read the teleporting rules yet.

Everytime they get slammed in the rear they automatically teleport 1-4 hexes so there safe on that account, just try not to dash with them! (They can't when teleporting though). There going to suffer very heavily with no coaching dice or Cards though. I may give the Asterians a go (albeit with a head swap though!).

I've had a quick look over the giants and they don't look to impressive to be honest though I have not looked at what there abilities do. The Jack Giants have show off so they won't be scoring much!

Just a little nugget of information. Seems like Mantic are working on an app for Dreadball. I wonder what it will entail? Team rosters maybe? (Jake mentioned this in his comments)

I wouldn't hold your breath, they've had a KoW app in production for at least 3 years. Completed it and Apple declined it.

Well there are a lot more smart devices out ther other then Apple so fingers crossed.

I agree with everyone that they seemed to have got it bang on with this one (except that stupd dog thingy), but then I thought that about the Dreadball KS as well!

So far for me, KoW = great game, Dwarf Kings Hold = great game, Project Pandora = great game, Warpath = still needs work, Dreadball = my favorite game atm, Deadzone (only played 4 games of Beta rules) = shaping up really well. So for me I'm well happy with Mantic atm!

Both games are great and you can normally pick them up cheap! Though the one complaint I have about those two games are the boards and counters are to thin for my tastes.

Though I will say that this will be the last test for me and Mantic with there 'restic'. I'm in for the first four factions (can't remember the pledge level name lol!). Have already made deals to be trading out the Rebs and Marauders for Enforcers and Plague. I've had no problems at all with there hard/sprued plastic (or whatever you call it) but an absolute nightmare with there 'restic'. I absolutely love Mantics games (though they have no in house rules writers it's all contracted out to Jake and Allesio, so I hope they get an in house writer soon) though if they mess up these 'restic' miniatures with stupid mold lines in stupid places I will be done with there 'restic' material.

Same here, and for a lot if others too, I think.

Some good news though is what we heard about an 'improved formula' that debuted with Dreadball Season 3 releases.

Here's hoping!

The 'improved' formula is still hit and miss I'm afraid as I had some of my season 3 Dreadball stuff with horrendous mould lines in stupid places and other's with barely noticeable ones till I put on my magnifying glasses light thingy I wear when modeling.

And to be fair, between you and kroothawk you troll ALOT. We all know how displeased with Mantic you are and how they took your firstborn to be sacrificed on there alter but quite frankly other peoples complaints are valid you are known for trolling with kroothawk so its probably best you don't post here.

The DB MVPs were fine so im not seeing a problem for the Deadzone special characters.
