Psychic Prisoner aboard a Black Ship

Eksjo, Sweden

As I just started my GK's I would really appreciate some nice feedback on my progress, I will update this thread as well as my blog, so there will be a bit of copypasting. Sorry for that.

I will try to make a 3 step base for a light silver glase so that will hopefully be shaded from the start, then a very light purple wash followed by a silver highlight.

(I can't seem to link the picture without it being too large, so a link will have to do.)

This is just the start. More to come...

I wasn't entirely happy with the silver scheme on the vehicles, so I decided to go for an urban camo, comments are more than welcome:

And the stormhawk..

They will surely look better after a little weathering and detailing.

The marines look excellent. I have to agree that the camo on the SR looks too busy. Looks better on the tank though.

Thanks!
Yeah, I agree about the camo, but I intend to dull it down a bit before weathering and make it less sharp, and outline all the shapes more with highlight and shading. I think it will look good in the end.

Yeah, if you weathered the stormraven, and picked out other details in different/brighter colours it would look nice.

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

Gathering the Informations.

The camo is going to contrast far too much with the overall army, I think.

Doing the vehicles in a dark grey or even that metallic silver with some red or black stripes and heraldry would look pretty sharp and break up the monotony of "a block of silver".

I added a thin grey coat over the camo to dull it down a bit. I think it already is less busy and with some nice weathering and detailing I think it wont feel "off" from the infantry at all.
