Wondering Why the Emperor Left

This is a very, lighthearted tutorial, and I am creating it simply because my friend wondered what I held my modelling supplies in, after I mentioned I was highly organized. Frankly, he wished for a cheap way to make them. So in this series, I will show you how to replicate and create the following:
1: Cheap used or unused pizzabox holders.
2.: Balsa and Cedar box.
3: A Metal box.

Just a spoiler: This will be the cheapest thing you've ever done, ever. It will be the shortest thing you've ever viewed, as well.

To start, this is the utmost basic, poor bo', cheap, flimsy setup. You can reinforce this, and it costs virtually nothing. Seriously, the most expensive part is the superglue/any type of glue.

Materials you will need: A pizza box, some spare cardboard, white-glue, gorrila glue, or super-glue.
Optional: Any material you wish to reinforce your seems with. IE: Balsa, Metal, Plastic.

Here are the supplies you will need, incase you didn't read the above text because you have the urge to tl;dr.

Now you should have all of your materials amassed, including glue.

This step is the "hardest" of them all. Open the box, and have your spare cardboard nearby.

Take the back right portion as show in this picture and cut cardboard that fits across it smoothly without damaging how the box shuts.

Glue said piece together.

Your box should look like this by the time your done gluing.

Slowly measure and cut segments and piece them together in any configuration you want. This is really basic, and shouldn't take too long.

Now this part is crucial. Cut the flaps so that it can close with the segments you've made in the box.

And then close your box and store it.

If you wish, you can now take the segments and liners you put in the box, and reinforce them with plastic or balsa.

Anyways, that's it. I may get a lot of hate for something so simple, and that's why in a few weeks I will actually be creating one from scratch using cedar or oak. This one is moreso a hold-over until I begin that project for you guys.

P.S My friend and I have bets placed to see if this actually helps anyone. The serious one will be up in a few weeks, in this thread.

I highly doubt you'll get hate for this. Like you said, its simple, cheap and easy to make. Three things that are always handy in this hobby.

Yeah and when you think how expensive this hobby can become an effective $2 storage device could go along way.

And that's just one box...

Still, I hope to do a Plyboard or Cedar chest later for under 20$ USD.

You poor chap! Find a Pizza box, glue and cardboard ASAP! Oh and since it actually helped someone, I just won that bet...

Stay tuned for the Deathwatch themed cedar box I'm doing in a few weeks.
