I'm new to Dakka Dakka, but I've lurked here off and on for a while. I've been playing 40k for a year or so, and have three to four thousand points of . I've been a fan of the setting since I was a kid, but only got into it now I'm an adult, have a little disposable money, and am mature enough to have the patience to learn to paint miniatures.

I've played in a 32 player tourney in my area, have won a small league, and have experimented with a lot of unique builds. Tyranid codex doesn't have as many strong options for either fun or competitive lists as other books, but there are some things that I do find pretty good. Currently I'm thinking about running a mycetic spore heavy list.

I'll probably be discussing Tyranid army lists, and how competitive the army can be tuned into being, off and on.
