I had some feedback that the background was distracting and there were too many shadows. Here's a white background and some flashed shots.

You should still be proud of your big mek, I'm proud of my older stuff too. The big thing is to keep trying new stuff - I've got 4 new techniques I tried here and they turned out great. Every model is an experiment, just depends on how much effort and time you want to put into it. The more you do the better your stuff will turn out!

How do you do such a light effect around the red bulb? It's DAMN cool!

Awesome model tough i see no other need for a PK on that Big mek unless you use your shock attack gun to Shoot at vheicles and you get teleported in a charge xD

That is exactly why I gave him a PK. If he gets teleported into combat he is going to krump some heads.

The lightbulb was practically an accident! I knew I wanted to do OSL, but the first coat I put down with an airbrush looked like garbage. I grabbed some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to try and remove it. It ended up diffusing the paint and the layer below it to give the effect you see there. I did another, more orange, spray right on the bulb after that and went in and added some white glare by brush. Wrapped that up with gloss.

Nice light, and goggles, they look like real glass! he looks rockin', and yes to answer your earlier question, wip pictures would be sweet.

I love the realism that comes though in your style. Yes, please post more of your work.

Great looking Big Mek! I am planning on using the same head for one with a KFF and Skorcha.

As requested here are the WIP shots from start to finish. This was a bit of a learning process so I tried to catch all the major steps. Going forward I'll do a painting blog so I can share all the stuff I'm working on.
