Do a search - for spray primer.

You find several hits.

I personally, like "armory" brand primer.
It gives a good coat, but does not go on thickly.

best of luck

Army Painter has primer in a variety of colours, which are considered pretty good.

The army painter colored primers are excellent in my opinion.

However, they can go on a bit thick (compared to the armory brand primers) so take a bit of care depending on how much finesses you have with spraying.
(I am fine using it, but some friends of mine coat it on a bit thick too easily).

You want to spray in sweeping motions across the object, from about 8-10 inches away. Practice on something first.

best of luck!

I also highly recommend Army Painter primers. They come in a huge range and you get more in the can then GW for a cheaper price. I've used both their white and black primers and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Still have to say cheap 1 dollar paint from Home Depot or Walmart. I have used it instead of GW which I used Chaos black for 2 cans before I tried the cheap stuff out. Read the instructions. If its too cold out it goes on thick and too hot and it flash drys and can flake off. Try it out on a model and if you dont like it you only wasted a dollar.

yeah most home depot primers have worked fine for me but when I can I like to splurge on the armory. truth be told I used to love the old GW ones especially when you could still buy blood and ultra primers.

Try auto paint primer, not sure where you'd get it from in USA, but here we have a big car store called Halfords, I swear by there primer, you get a huge can and it always goes on excellent what ever the weather and has good coverage. Down side it not much choice in colours, well not as much as army painter. I use army painter wolf grey for my wolves, as mentioned it can go on a little thick, also I don't think army painter primer is the best surface to take paint after, it's very very slightly shiney in my opinion.

Hang on nearly there, I also use cheap £1 or in your case $1 cans of black from our cheap stores over here, these are great for scenery and if you find a good one there is no reason not to use it on the models. Hope this helps.

When you can't see the drunk guy at a party, you should look for the nearest mirror.

I use Painters Touch Black/White Primer. Works well a can runs about $3 at home depot. Not every Home Depot sells black primer so you might have to look around.

I use ColorPlace - the $1 cans from Walmart that Maddok_Death mentioned. Haven't found them nearly as finicky as he has, though - if you're used to GW's offerings, the reliability should be an improvement even in the worst case, from what I've heard about their sprays.

For metal, you'll likely want an actual primer (I grabbed Krylon based on recommendations from Dakkanauts, but haven't used it, yet), but plain old spray paint works just fine on plastic, in my experience.

You could use Krylon spray primers or Duplicolor automotive spray primer.

I use the flat black myself. Used to prime with the Ultra Flat Black, but it seems they don't make it anymore. :(

I've recently started using Army Painter Leather Brown for my Angels of Absolution and I really love it, it's a great neutral tone that I find most things cover really well.

Not had any problems but I've only bought one can so I can't speak to consistency or anything.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Army painter has a nice line of colored primers to match the Army painter paints. you should be able to find a color comparison chart here on dakka.

I use Halford's automotive primer, and it really is good quality.

If you do Air Brushing, try basing your models with paints that are primers. As it will be cheaper, you''ll have more control over how much paint comes out, and it wont be chorky if you have anymore questions shoot me a PM.
