Hello i'm new to 40k but i would like to start building a Nid army. I have been looking at a lot of posts through out this thread and decided to go with them. Now i have found this model of a general grievous hive tyrant on:
http://musingsofametalmind.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Tyracrons

I would like to know if anyone knows where to buy this model, if it is discontinued, ect. Those of you that have seen this before it was around November 2010 that this model was made.

Thank You,
Gwowns

This isn't a single model to be bought. It's a scratchbuilt model made from many different components. There are a lot of Tyranid bits, the legs are from a Sentinel kit, the sabers are from a gundam kit of some sort... you can see how it was built if you scroll down on the page you linked a bit.

Here's an image:

It won't be super hard to build, but you're going to need to spend some time on ebay or trading with members here to get all the parts you need. I think you may wish to build some foot troops for your army first to get a feel for how to build the models, and then move on to this. We can certainly help you with it.

Since this is neither News nor Rumour i've alerted a Mod so they can move it to the P&M section.

It's a cool model.

Its not a model you can buy. Its a kit bash using multiple kits. Judging by this WIP picture taken from the site you linked i can tell you pretty much what was used.

Its a Tyranid Hive Tyrant kit with legs from the Imperial Guard sentinal kit. Extra Tyrant arms have been added and the boneswords replaced with coloured party cocktail stirers.

aaaaaaaaaaand completely ninja'd by Ouze.
