Just wanted to get some feedback on my Rhino/Razorback (swappable turret/hatch) that I'm working on while it's still in progress. I wanted to get feedback before closing it up so that only the ramp and hatch would show the interior from this point. I just wanted to see what your thoughts/opinions are on how I've done so far.

Because I plan on leaving the back ramp unglued to allow the interior to be viewable. Also the top hatch will be removable (as I'm going to set it to swap back and forth between Rhino and Razorback), so it'll be doubly viewable.

Nice. The details are very crisp and should show nicley when looking into the vehicle. My only comment is that most vehicle interiors are not black, but the color is totally a personal preference. I do all of my interiors in a medium green color. I think you could also weather the floors a bit.

It looks good and cleanly executed. And you even painted the displays. Great work.

One suggestion though is to use brighter color. You did this well with the red seats and bolter. Those will pop at you if you open the hatch. But the monitor are to dark for that. You could brighten those lines with a light green.

I for myself painted the bottons next to the monitors with varying colors like you did with the sidepanel to draw attention to it. You made all the effort to paint inside and you probably want it to be seen so using brighter color helps a lot with that.

He who paints half a model is only half a man.

So far as the paintjob goes, it's very neat and clean, and I wouldn't change it at this point. For the next one, though, I'd use a much lighter palette - from my googling it looks like the interior of armored vehicles is usually a light tan or beige. I did one here in beige, and a different one in light grey, if you'd to see how it looks on a Rhino. (not as good as Ifurita's work, though!)

I agree about the monitors - unless they're off, in which case they'd be completely dark, I think you'll want to use a brighter paint so that the on-screen details are actually visible. Beyond that, color choices are largely personal. Most people tend to go lighter, but that's you call - it's nicely executed, regardless.

Oadie brings up a good point. Have you dry fitted your Rhino together to see how your interior will look, when it's dark inside? You may want to do that, take a peek inside and see if you get results that you are happy with. In any case, still a well executed interior.

Thanks for all the feedback. I greatly appreciate it.

I just did the dry fit. It's still fairly visible. Next after this is a another Rhino chassis and I'll go with a lighter green on the display screens.

The way I painted these was:
Base = Caliban Green
Layer 1 = 1:1 Caliban:Loren Green
Layer 2 = Loren Green (images freehanded in this)
Glaze of Biel Tan Green

I might go up to Snotling green for the Radar imaging on the next one. Or add a very small touch of white to lighten it. Or just thin the glaze out more.

As for the color schema, I rather like the darker interior. Especially since I'm going with the black Dark Angels scheme and this makes things look darker, more foreboding. I might try a beige test wall on the next Rhino and toss it up to see how it looks.

I think the interior looks good. I don't paint the interiors but that's just me.
