I've been having trouble trying to edit a thread title for my trades thread in the Dakka Swap Shop... For some reason, I can delete text, but not enter anything new. I've tried in both Firefox 18.01 and IE9 64-bit. Is this anything to do with the new automated thread titling system there?

Are you editing the first post? That should let you edit the thread title.

And by eiditing, I mean clicking the "edit post" button, rather than double clicking the post.

Yes, I'm using the "edit" button to the right, next to quote/multiquote. As I said, it lets me delete text, but not add anything new for some reason.

Strange, I'll flag it for investigation. Probably broke something when I changed it to the forced titles.

You can delete text - does it save the deleted text as well?

You cant add text - does it add it on your screen but not save it when you click the Submit button? Or does it not even show updated text if you try and type in the text field?

I can delete text, and it saves the new title with that text deleted.
I literally cannot type in new text to the field; it doesn't enter anything. On IE, it once let me type in a "g". It hasn't since. Seriously weird!

ok, I'll double check to see if it is anything on our end.

I've double checked and this is not a problem with our system or software as far as I can tell. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Interestingly, I am able to paste text into the field in Internet Explorer, which I hadn't thought of trying before, but it can't be any longer than the current thread title.
