Hi all. Working on some glow effects on some of my necrons.
I'm wondering how to handle the effect when the material next to it is either the same color or just similarly bright. Here's a picture of what I have right now. Basically my army has been using Spacewolves Grey as a ceramic (typically just infantry faceplates and on vehicles it's on the smooth aesthetic parts). I was using Ice Blue for my tesla weapons. Now I'm painting them to be light sources, which involves using some Spacewolves Grey. Here's a picture to help understand what I'm rambling about:
So basically I'm wondering how (if I should at all) to represent the light reflecting that is touching material which is the same color.
