It makes sense that vehicles can overwatch, they are slow etc. but I think it would be okay for pintle mounted weapons to be able to as they aren't as 'heavy' as the rest of the vehicles guns. Also as they have a 360 degree range it wouldn't matter on the facing.

I agree 100% as pintle mounted weapons could also be manned by vehicle crews aswell

Well there are a few non-pintle weapons that should be Overwatch capable too, ie Tau Gun Drones.

Perhaps a return to the concept of a Defensive weapon, now classed on a weapon by weapon basis instead of a strength number. Then add a rule letting the Defensive weapons Overwatch.

It makes sense fluff wise, seems cool, and FoW does it- I like the idea
