I've played all the Dawn of War games, and im familiar with the blood Ravens fluff from there. I have, however, heard that the BL book released for the blood ravens contradicts some of the fluff in the DoW games, commonly in the exact same circumstances (DoW2 comes to mind). In that case, which fluff is correct?

If you are referring to the CS.Goto books, I would ignore them like a red headed step child. Not remotely fitting to the 40k universe. Go with the games.

Both are "correct", by Games Workshop standards. However, when it comes down to actual quality of writing, you will find better writing in the weapons descriptions in Dawn of War 2 than you will in the entirety of C.S Multilaser Goto's collection of words between two covers jokingly called a "book".

Backflipping Terminators and Alpha Legionnaires disguised as Ultramarines. And Macha's obsession with Gabriel.

Pick the one you like more - as Arcsquad12 hinted at, there is no "one singular truth" in 40k fluff, just ->

IMHO Black Library need to hire a decent set of proof readers who are fans of the hobby, the silly continuity errors and contradictions are one thing but when an author completely changes the way a weapon works then I find it irritating.

They almost need a set of writers rules saying, this is what a bolter does, this is what it can kill. Etc.

Lol

An Eldar Farseer romancing an Astartes Captain? That sounds like fun

Xeno lover? Me? I am offended, good sir

Well, TBH, I'm only a xenophobe when I get into the spirit of 40k. I really enjoyed romancing Tali in ME2, and playing a paragon Shepard

I don't know; I really liked the Space Marine and Eldar endings.

What was wrong with Retribution? Diomedes is a boring husk, but come on, PIRATE ORKS and IMPERIAL GUARD. I also liked how it tied in the Maledictum Daemon into the plot. In terms of the overall 40K universe, it's a brilliant ploy by the Alpha Legion that makes up for them not acting like the Alpha Legion.

If I wanted the guard in my game I would play the old DoW games. I did expect more than a half finished product that did not even provide a good ending. You got stuck with the dullest SM characters except for Tarkus, who is always awesome.
And as for the Orks.....dont get me started on those dullards or the Nid campaign for that mather

Dullards? They were probably some of the brightest Orks in the whole galaxy.

Orks and Blood Angel Storylines were the only ones I liked in the Game.

Orks had the best ending. Kaptin Bluddflag got his hat and a Space Hulk. But more importantly, he got a Hat!

I know somebody is going to be calling the inquisition on me for this one but: I actualy enjoyed the C.S Goto Blood for two reasons. One, the side story with Ckrius, I was always hoping for that next little bit with him. Two, the Harlequin and more specificly the Solitaire. I personaly thought he did a half decent job at presenting them, mixing mistery and showmanship even if the overall thing was bad.

Now excuse me while I go hide from the inqui....ARghjgk
