Hello,

I've created a dice rolling program that I would like to share, and also get some feedback on. Hopefully someone can use this, and possibly provide some feedback.

This die roller is unique in a few ways:

  • True Random: Our random numbers come from random.org. This ensures you receive randomness equal to actually rolling real dice.

  • Graphical Representation: Every time you roll you see what you get with a graphical representation of your roll.

  • Most online rollers use the integrated random functions which are not very good at generating truly random numbers.

Let me know what you guys think: http://www.terracaelis.com/dice-roller.php

    Thanks

    It actually looks pretty neat.

One thing I might suggest is to redesign the page to it all fits onto the screen at once. Maybe a list of dice to roll and the number of them down one side, and a single larger "result" pannel on the other?

That might be helpful for me.

Also perhaps allowing people to click up and down the number of dice they want so they don't have to change between using the mouse to select what dice they want and type in the number they want to roll?

    Hello,

We now have advanced mode, allowing you to roll anything from a D2 to a D1000000000.

    http://www.terracaelis.com/dice-roller.php?mode=advanced

You can of course still add modifiers the same way.

I've also made some design changes and few other tweaks.
    -You can now share/prove rolls.
-Set a character name so you can view old rolls, or allow someone to constantly check on the rolls your character has made.

Some tools that would be good:

    -display results in ascending/descending order
    -open 6's (or equivalents)
-adding different types of dice (some games have stuff like, 3+d6+d10)
-adding "drop the lowest" and/or "drop the highest"
