So I just finished building my Dreadknight conversion... He's not fully painted yet, still shading and highlighting to do, but what do you think of the model?

He's to be fielded in house rules games of 40K as an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor HQ with his own special rules.

Thats an excellent conversion. The wrist mounted sword looks really cool. If you look at it to hard then the sarcophagus does start to look a little tacked on and out of place but it still works.

What is the shield made from?

Correct! It's the Forge World Inquisition Rhino Top Hatch with some styrene strips around the edges to square it off. It wasn't a great casting either so I had to do what I could with green stuff to make it work.

That's one of the better conversions I've seen of that model. In fact I typically find it ugly but you conversion makes it look very good.

Great job! Love what you did with the sword!

Dreadnaught conversions are the ONLY way the Dreadknight model doesn't look absolutely pants.

I don't hate the Dreadknight as much as most folks do, but this is still a stellar model! I love the colors, to start with, and the metallics are really good! Your lettering is nice, as well as your parchment effects on the purity seals. Personally, the green wax on the seals isn't working for me, but I think it might just be me not being used to it. It'd be hard to go with the standard red here, y'know? Great job!

To me the boxy shape of the dreadnought seems out of place on the rounder dreadknight

Not bad, I'd remove the Gun sight from the Sword arm tho.

I'm appreciating the feedback guys, thank you.

I'm not particularly happy with the crusader seals myself tbh. I do want to keep them green since it's directly opposite red on the colour wheel but i'm intent on toning it down as it's a bit too bright for me liking atm. Like I said, still lots of highlights and shading to do so i'll fix them.

I'm particularly fond of the basing for the model, I think the desert and rusted ruin effect turned out far better than expected considering it's my first ever attempt at a decorated base. Having only recently picked up the hobby, this is actually only the 4th Model I've ever fully painted.

Nice Job. Wish I saw this before I did my dreadknight, I would of done the same thing with the sword. I might steal that idea with the banner though.
