THQ has finally closed down after 23 years in the business.
Here is who the franchises were sold to:
Volition/Saints Row
Buyer: Koch Media ($22.3M)
Relic and CoH 2
Buyer: Sega ($26.6M)
THQ Montreal
Buyer: Ubisoft ($2.5M)
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Buyer: Ubisoft ($3.3M)
Metro: Last Light
Buyer: Koch Media ($5.9M)
Homefront 2
Buyer: Crytek ($500K)
Evolve (by Turtle Rock Studios)
Buyer: Take-Two ($10.9M)

I just don't understand how a company that had the rights to most Disney games as well as the WWE game franchise managed to go under.
I sincerely hope that Koch Media allows Volition to continue making Saints Row games in the same vein as they have been. I truly love their it's-like-GTA-but-actually-fun designs.

Sega getting Relic is interesting! The Total War games are pretty fun so they know how to do RTS.

I'll never understand how they managed to keep going in the first place. Their game back log is full of some of the worst (all right mediocre at best then) games ever made. How they ever lasted this long is a surprise.
I still find that any game that bears the THQ logo to be alright but most of the time it is just a disappointment. Then again I'm from the time when all THQ did was pump out crap game after crap game.
