A couple of questions guys. A friend of mine believes that if he has a Kustom Force Field, it gives a cumulative boost to the cover save, for example if he is in 4+ cover behind a barrier with a big mek with KFF, it will mean a 2+ cover save. This does not sound right to me, as it says nothing in the rules about cumulative cover saves for things like KFF, but only for a couple of specific cases, like going to ground. I would think it is like armor saves, choose the best on available. Also can you focus fire on models outside the 6" radius?

No. KFF gives 5+. Regardless. If another cover save is better, like going to ground in ruins or behind an ADL then you'd use that instead.

No you cannot focus fire. If ONE model from a friendly unit is within 6", my understanding is that it extends to the whole unit. Imagine spokes on a wheel with the KFF at the hub.

The KFF simply provides a standard cover bonus of 5+

It does not provide shrouding, which would increase a units cover save by 2, meaning units behind an aegis would then have a 2+ cover.

it is not cumulative if it was it wouldn't be a coversave it would be stealth or shrouded USR.

i WISH it did that, it would be a 6+ in the open which would suck under that condition but in any kind of cover we'd get a 3+/4+ which would be epic.

Slap two together if it stacks with each other and now its 2+/3+

Sadly its a 5+ flatout. Since its an HQ choice and kinda screws over the HQ when you do it (hes not that useful aside from the bubble he gives) i wish it was better.

It gets really good with nightfighting though. start with a 5 and gain shroud. hey look I have MEQ Boys
