Ghorros does make them core but you still need a hero or lord.

If you like the looks of them you could use some to pull some chariots, mount a General on that and roll with that theme.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

He does make them core but can't be the general AFAIK as he is not a lord/hero so you need to get one, also your army would cost a duckload

Great conversion work! Seems like a lot of work for an entire army, but perhaps worth it!

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

It's also not really any cheaper than just buying centigors.

Actually, its £5 cheaper for the first five and then you have spare bodies for another five so they're half price

I forgot about the spare bodies.
$82.75 for enough bits to make 10
VS
$118 for just buying 10.
In the US market the parts are ~30% cheaper; but Green Stuff isn't free. Neither is the labor.
They do look better, but I'm not sure the savings is worth the effort. Considering that you only need 20 to get over 650 points of core, it isn't all that many conversions.
What used to be cheaper was lord of the ring horses with ungor upper bodies. They still came out bigger than metal centigors, but didn't look overly beefy.
