I'm basically painting a librarian who has a sword from the GK Space Marine box and the sword has a Plaguebearers decapitated head impaled underneath the sword and I'm trying to work out a good colour for the blood...

I'm thinking either a very dark colour like a deep blue, red or green like it's congealed blood of some sort or something more pale similar to a bile, puss or vomit like rancid like colour? Or something completely different if anyone can suggest a better colour?

The PB is a grey/green/blue colour kind of along the lines of a victim of drowning, if that helps people help me decide.

Any input would be appreciated.

What about shiny black like dead blood since they are daemons?

I'm partial to yellow/green goo with my plague bearers, done the usual transparent paint way.

A dark red but make sure to make it look really slimy. Use water effects or gloss on it and you should be good. Or you could make their blood a greenish goo. But from what I've seen with all the intestines hanging out and whatnot its usually red

I would do a black/brown bile type of blood.

Yeah I've been thinking of a almost blackish colour like black/red mix or something like it's tar/oily tainted blood or maybe just a red/brown with a hint of green wash in it as it's Nurgle so it looks like it's suffered from pestilence.
