I think we can all agree, the mutilators are AWFUL so i need some suggestions
For alternate models, or conversion ideas, any help is much appreciated

I'm going to use Warhammer Ogres, with a headswap to some of the new dragon ogre heads maybe. Also Ogre Leadbelchers as Obliterators, just to tie it together.

Another option is FW Renegade Ogryns

I'd go with the FW Oggys. Those things are awesome looking.

I think someone also mentioned on here once using Terminator bodies with Possessed arms

If your handy with green stuff, i'd pick up the chaos terminator box and go to town. I saw someone make them onto Obliterators, with small pipes cut into short pieces, green stuffed into place. I think it turned out good, and the perons experience with green stuff was minimal.

Ogres would be a good start if you want the 'fleshy' look.

Bulked up termies can work, but can be difficult to avoid them just looking like converted termies, especially if you also have normal termies in the same army.
