A friend of mine has had a stormlord for a while now and never used it. So we had a bit of a fun game where he can use it. So its 2500 points a side, big guns never tire with vanguard strike deployment.

I have only heard of a stormlord, crazy to see on in action. Bad luck on the dark lances just bouncing off left and right.

I wonder if wytches w/haywire grenades would have helped against the stormlord. Getting them there is the hard part, plus the sheer number of hull points super heavies have. Very tough.

The rules are not designed for it (unfortunately, one may argue). It's practically cheating.

Actually Blessings and Maledictions can be cast. Witchfire can't. Basically any psychic power cast at the start of the movement phase can be cast whilst in combat. Any power cast in the shooting phase can't.
