Lego,

Could we have the glossary terms made clickable on mobile devices? The country flags already work like this, I can click on one and the country name pops up in a little test box next to the image, so maybe it will be quite easy to implement.

I'm almost entirely accessing the internet from my phone these days and I think many others may do the same. I never realised how often I must check the glossary terms until now, there are so many terms I'm completely oblivious too.

Thanks.

Think this slipped through the nets. Giving it a nudge.

They work on iOS. What phone are you using? Or do you maybe have the glossary pop-ups disabled in your user settings?

Also, I think it may be auto-disabled when using the mobile theme.

I can confirm they work on android too, and that they're disabled for the mobile theme.

Ah thanks guys! Yeh Android and I'm using mobile 2012 lite. I'll turn them on now, will I have to do that every time I use my mobile?

Edit: I either can't figure out how or it's not possible to turn them on?

I think you have to use a non-mobile theme. I don't see an option in the profile settings, unless it's tied into the thread preview popups (which mobile also disables).

Yeh looks like. Could that be changed possibly?

Unfortunately, no. It is intentional.

The way the glossary works is that it has to load the entire set of glossary descriptions everytime you load a new page...so cutting out this process is definitely one of the ways to make the mobile viewing experience better.

So if you really dig the glossary stuff, then you'll have to switch over to one of the regular themes to utilize it...of course you could permanently disable your ability to see other people's Avatars and signatures in your user settings, so you could kind of almost create a mobile theme that still has the glossary, although you'd obviously be stuck with that at all times (unless you wanted to keep switching stuff on and off in your profile).

Ah that's cool, thanks Yak. I never considered that it meant loading the entire glossary but of course it does! I'll go without but that's good to know thanks.
