So, after browsing the site I saw the hostile environment upgrade pack that would be PERFECT to make inquisitorial storm-troopers with!

However, I am hesitant.
I've never had any major issues with finecast, but is Forge World better or worse or the same?

Thanks!

In my past experience, it can be bent or warped like finecast, but you can fix that with hot water.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Forge World is the stuff Finecast tries to be.

I find if you treat Forgeworld as any other 3rd party mini maker and sever the GW connection in your mind, they are a middle of the road mini producer.

They have great sculpts, the detailing is great, sometimes you get a few bad parts, but not at all a regular thing in my experience. And they have good Customer service. That is roughly the same experience I have had with lots of 3rd party bitz manufacturers... all Resin makers have flaws sometimes, but not a lot. I know many who have far worse flaws than FW and some who have amazing QC so zero flaws.

If your fear of 'quality' or 'flaws' is your issue, I would say don't worry about it. If your issue is their crazy shipping, then I would say "I agree that sucks as they have high shipping."
