Sound like consoles are about to become even more locked in. Not really concerned about used game sales, PC gamers live in that reality since forever. Always online? Sure, if they really want to limit their customer base for no apparent reason.

PC gamers have the option of easily cuircumventing those restrictions in almost all cases. Console gamers aren't as lucky.

It seems that the PS4 is basically a middle of the range PC, lower middle at that.

There's also a heavy emphasis on how everything will be shared! No one will ever play alone again, even if they want to. Everything must be connected and integrated and social!!!

Sorry, when I play my PS3 I do it alone, because I'm at home on a weekend or after a long day at work relaxing by absorbing myself in something that doesn't involve anyone else. I don't care about your share button. I don't care about the inevitable co-op inFamous campaign, or 4-hour Killzone single-player that you'll tack onto its extensive CoD-esque competitive multiplayer component, or that your latest racing game is built around teams of players.

Pretty sure always online is already out the window with there being mention of an offline mode in Diablo 3 (which is hilarious after look at the pc version).
