I have created two Ork list possibilities to go up against this IG list. I am trying to create a list that will be strong against this list but is still a TAC list.

Well if you can kill the vendettas he has nothing that can hurt av14. Also this guy is screaming to be hit with a couple of Mega armored nobs. Other then those plasma guns he has not ap 2 as well. Just some thoughts.

Oh I like the second list better I think the Auto cannons will eat the bikers.

Hmm I had not considered Mega Nobz in that list and I agree that the auto cannons would do some heavy damage against the bikes. Do you think the Trucks would be effective, I feel they would not last long.

Trucks are good in large numbers, so if you go trucks go with four or five. If you get first turn just zoom them forward (close together). When he pops the trucks you have the ramshackled rule to help survive and if the truck does go boom then the explosion will take out some of his guys as well. Just make sure they target the same flank and hit together becuase 12 boyz will not last long but 48 boyz could wipe a good chunck of his army. The real goal is forcing him to concentrate on the truckers not the battle wagons with the good stuff.

Unfortionatly those looted wagons are going to die to his autocannons, do you have something else to use? Like maybe a another wagon with Burnas or MANZ?

I've played against Orks enough times to know that getting into cc with them with ANYTHING IG is a bad idea, even platoons. It looks like he has enough firepower to eat up every trukk you've got and then murder it's contents, which could be a problem.

He has a limited amount of AP2, given the one squad with three PGs and the single Manticore, but that Manticore alone can waste whatever counter you bring with one shot. Granted it only has four shots, but there's a possible 12 strength 10 ap2 large blasts there. Chances are he'll FRFSRF you if you footslog up to the platoons and FoMT the autocannons if you bother running the bikes within range. The LRBTs are something you need to worry about too, the 72" str8 ap3 large blasts will chew up anything that isn't in cover, so there are two big pieces of his army that need to die quickly.

I like the second list as a counter honestly, haul ass as fast as possible with the trukks and smash his gunline, use the Warboss and Nobz to eat his heavy support. The Vendettas you may have to either ignore, or consider a decent firebase to deal with, either way there are going to be a few destroyed trukks.

Having played Orks in the past and have gone up against IG with them the second list is the list I would take.

The trukks would get eaten up just as much as the bikes, if not more.

This guy has a lot of infantry, thus making it a good idea for bikes with their dakkaguns. Shootaboys are also a great idea.

I have to say, list two looks better due to numbers and the Av14. You have two boomguns for clearing infantry while all those boys can clean up the rest. Shootaboys ride in their wagon and shoot up any opposing force.

So I have learned that he has revised his list he will be bringing, the IG list is now this.

That list is problematic to say the least. He has ditched the av 14 which is good but added more ap 2 and str 9 weapons, almost as if he was reading this RIGHT NOW
