Has any one noticed for the eldar codex that shinning spears can no longer be bought from gw? Their are warp spiders, vipers, and warp spiders but no shinning spears? any one no what's happening?

Well, they always WERE a guardian jetbike with a pack of upgrade bits.
Now they've just decided to save on dual packaging and sell the upgrade bits separately.

When would Finecast ever make anything cheaper? I always expect a 25% increase, at least.

I suggest going to the Warstore (or your preference for bitz) and getting either the Dark Elves Cold One rider arms, or the High Elf Silver helm arms as bits to add to stock jetbikes. Both are quite easy to mate up with the existing models' shoulders.





Each will cost you about a dollar a jetbike to equip, and will give you none of the problems of thin parts made from Finecast, but with all the benefit of an all-plastic model. Either paint the lance tips as arcane power weapons, or replace them with some sort of bit to represent a power emitter. My personal Shining Spears are made from Dark Eldar Reavers, with the Dark Elf lance arms, with tips made from Kroot Rifle barrel tips. I may be biased, but I think they look awesome compared to the official GW version. All I have to do was make a round hollow in the shoulder of the Guardian to fit the ball joint of the Lance arm into.
