I'm trying to decide between the 000 and 00 winsor and newton miniature paint brush to start painting my first space wolves faces. Can anyone advise as to which one is better for things such as eyes, teeth etc.?

Typically I use a 1 or 0 for most things. 00 or 000 for pupils and in-pupil highlights.

Size is not so important as a really, really good point.

Great thanks! I guess I'll try the size 1 and 000.

I agree. I've been moving away from the really small brushes to my 1 and 2 more and more lately, even for fine detail work. It really is about the point on the brush and how stiff it stays - plus how much paint it holds. The tiny brushes hold so little paint that I spent more time getting paint on the brush than I do paint on the model.

I agree with this.

I've been using the same Citadel Detail Brush (yeah, yeah I know... but it works so I'm not changing! ) since I started painting for basically all detail work. The point on that brush is better than every other brush I've bought including the 00 and 000 sizes and I haven't had much trouble doing even the finest of details with it. A good brush tip should start slim, bulge slightly in the middle and then come back to a very fine tip. All the bristles should run in the exact same directions and it shouldn't look twisted or have any bristles sticking out anywhere.
