Subject: Shield Wolf Miniatures: New 28mm fantasy company
Theres a new fantasy company called Shield Wolf Miniatures who seem to be specializing in resin figures/regiments
Sounds a bit neat, though their paint jobs arent the best imo and they lack bare resin pictures so some of the details looks muddled (which is weird, whoever did the skeletons gave them some pretty nice bases!)
And their giant to me looks a bit more like an odd looking action figure/toy, though again maybe its their paintjob
Their Death Deceivers might make some good cultists I must say
On TGN their news claims they may be moving to plastic, that might make these look more enticing
A new 28mm scale Miniatures Company from Athens, Greece launched its first products yesterday 22 Feb. for Fantasy gaming and modeling. It has developed various projects form many factions (only 5 initially shown) and will be probably moving into plastic production within the next months.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

cultists......same as above but why couldnt the weapons be the other way around ? the skullds look really bad .
whats up with its neck ? design choice aside the drapery on the material just looks like someone rolled out some GS and slapped it on .
they honestly look like plastic toys painted up so i guess thats what they meen by "plastic coming soon"

Yeah, these would have been impressive in the 80s, but utterly hopeless today. I hope the guy won't lose too much money when it all goes wahoonie-shaped for him, as it surely must.
The supply does not get to make the demands.

A very warm salute from the Shieldwolf Team in shiny Athens, Greece.
It has been quite a while since these posts have been made and now may have come the time to write something down. Here at Shieldwolf we are committed to listen to what the Community tells us (regardless of the manner they choose to say it). Some suggest what they'd like to see in a very productive and lucrative way while others may be too harsh sometimes even considered rude. Truth be told, we are a new company and mistakes are inevitable. Both our paint jobs and photos did great injustice to our first two regiments while we admit that the sculpting was not bad, but considered OK. However simple OK does not cut it for us, we mean it to be excellent. And so, we put our heads down again, and started working even more.
Our very next releases were highly improved, people commented very warmly on our stepping up and we now have more than 1,500 people liking our Facebook page, which is also our main source of news.
We've also taken measures to make sure they may also fit other 28mm scale tabletop war-games, but that's up to the client obviously. . We also remain faithful to our Policy and tend into more realistic anatomies. Here's an example of how our Casting Team (with its' long experience) took care of adding a 17% in bulk for the Dracantropii Ancients.
We really know what it means to get what you order asap, and we are very happy we've maintained a superb response system, answering and/or shipping (till the present day) within 48 hours max, no exceptions whatsoever.
We are strict in our Policy of bringing out original concepts, we'll try to bring miniatures to life which have a very personal character. As for our resin, yes, after years of working with it, we consider it the best in the Market, we welcome you to comment on it yourselves.
We really appreciate all of these comments since they showed us what to do. Half the people working for us were dismissed after our initial and we are now only using top of the line collaborators. Our augmented sales and very positive comments we receive confirm this. The budget surpasses anything ever spent before in the Balkans and will push us even further.
We are also one out of two companies worldwide (to our knowledge at least) to create a cinematic for our miniatures. Companies that have been around much longer than us haven't done anything like it. It has taken a lot of effort and time, something less than 2 years, we hope you'll like it.
Here's a peak
It was selected by the IMF (International Movie Festival) as candidate for best trailer, making us add some extra scenes to the final Cinematic, to be thus probably released for all this January. A great honor for us. http://vimeo.com/groups/imf
Our love for the fantasy world is based on (what we consider) the 3 main races; Orcs, elves and dwarfs. Orcs were chosen as our first launch, we've been commissioning people for the green race back from May 2012, from Texas to London and from Madrid to Marseille. We changed 6 different concepts and tried both 3D and traditional sculpting. Our target is to release some of the best looking Orcs in 28mm scale ever conceived. If not the very best ever.
In the meanwhile, we take care of sponsoring and promoting tabletop war-gaming, having earned the trust and support of the Greek Community for which we're grateful. Our promoting different events and the miniature hobby is one of our main concerns, since it really matters to us. The picture below is form the Golden Dwarf painting competition held at Kaissa Peristeri, Athens.
We look forward to even more of these events.
We will await your comments with pleasure, both positive and negative.
They both work well for us.
