I recently proxied together some Fiends of Slaanesh using a Daemonette kit , Goblin Spider Riders kit, and some green stuff. My only problem is that they sit a bit low to the ground. I've heard of people cutting and repositioning the legs but I was thinking of either using several layers of rocky basing materials or a higher resin base to address the los issue.

Could anyone clue me in to the approximate height of the real model from hoof to mane so that I can base my models up appropriately?

It's roughly 45mm from the top of the base to the top of the head.

Sounds cool but when I had my daemon army I converted them in a similar way to you but using the lower half of a tyranid ravener instead of a spider.

Looked cool (imo), was about the same height as a fiend and most importantly to me, more slanneshi than some weird bipedal horse thing (the fiend models are expensive and horrific!).

I can provide you with measurements of the fiend but maybe you can roughly gauge it from the picture i found:

Thank you for the responses guys. It looks like I'm going to have to base these models up quite a bit.

Soldier, I actually have a Herald of Slaanesh conversion that uses the Ravener bodies. I wish I would have thought to do my fiends that way before buying the spider riders. It is a cool looking conversion.
