Windu is a badass motherf***er. It actually said that on his lightsabre.
He's also one of the most skilled duelists of all time, who defeated Sidious in sabre combat. He could sense critical points and moments (called shatterpoints) which he could exploit to beat people and change events. He was also one of the most powerful force users of the Clone Wars/Galactic Empire period, just behind Sidious, Yoda, Vader and Galen Marek. /fanrant off.

PARDON ME GOOD SIR. I have to point out that all this cannon fodder did kill off 95% of the Jedi in a 24 hour period, and how epicly bad-ass we clone commandos are. I think I could take on any Jedi, anytime.
