Damn haha was hoping for some fresh fantasy rumours, cant believe they sold out this quickly, well I can understand as they are an amazing model range.
Really hope the next update is Bretonnia although I would be happy with any of armies left needing an update, safe to say what ever is next I will most certainly buy. Can't wait to hear about what's next.

Well if Wood Elves are doing so well, it seems like Bretonnia would be a logical next move- another ancient book with plenty of room for new models, and Brets are right next door to the Woodies, so they can do cross promotion to ease the transition and slide players right into another new army. Then maybe beastmen as the traditional arch enemy of the two?
Not a fantasy player, but it seems like that would make sense to keep a theme going, update older books, and slide players into buying multiple armies throughout the rest of the year.

I'm happy that the fantasy releases have been doing well.
I have 5 armies:
VK 5000+
skaven 4000+
dwarfs 4000+
Empire 4000+
OK 1500+
The warhammer scene in my area is nearly dead. I only have 2 people I know in the area that are occasionally interested in using their armies.

More Bretonnia rumors from Natfka along with a possible leaked photo:

via Tom Harper over on 40k Warzone
Follow the link to see the image.
http://40kwarzone.blogspot.com/2014/05/new-bretonnia-rumours.html
The first new rumour is that Grail Knights can also be fielded on foot - we have just been sent a photo that could possibly be from a new Grail Knight kit!
Of course we have had lots of rumor here on Faeit 212 as well, and here is a recap.
A little bird behinds the scenes has revealed to someone I know that
apparently Bretonnians are in July and will be getting a new book along
with...
Plastic duel kit questing/grail knights
Plastic knights of the realm/questing knights on foot. Have maces or swords
plus shields.
special rule for knights armed with maces confers a +1S
two clam packs with characters.
I hope to god these are true. I don't care if the rules suck, I just want the models.

Okay, so foot knights, cool...except that we'll be seeing at best 4+saves on T3 models with probably a 6+ ward (WS4, S3 on KotR) And on GW-wielding knights we'll see a 5+ save.
As for their maces, well Morningstars sound exactly like what they're talking about, but if this applies for all rounds of CC then why not just make them S4 base?
Nonetheless excited for Grail/Questing/Realm Knights on foot. I can only hope that the model shown is a character and not a RnF troop because that cloak is going to get in the way an awful lot...

That's not a grail, that's a glove. Perhaps the Gauntlet of the Duel?

So that's the image in question. 40k Warzone is calling it into question because "they never see models with white weapons" but it just looks like the model has a plasticard blade for the weapon.

That is an ANCIENT test model made by a trainee sculptor. It's been around forever.

Ah Avian, you've cruelly dashed my fleeting hopes!
Any significance in the model being an obvious green five years ago and the newest image looking like a more substantial plastic colour?
What are the lead times on a model being designed and then released? I've heard that GW sit on models for years before releasing them, if that were the case then the above knight might not be out of the realms of possibility?
Either way, it's a nice looking fig!

Brets are cool. I played them a long time ago (however, with the same army book! )
I would really like to see them get better charging rules for the Knights (and chariots in general) and hope they retro fit these guys since 9th ed is slated to come out after their update.

I'm not sure, though I'm fairly certain the grey stuff is resin and not plastic. Several minis have been featured in that way.
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?119055-Citadel-Collectors-range
Also featuring the grail guy from 2008.
I think it's fairly safe to say that it's not going to be a multipart kit, since those are not based off of green stuff sculpts.

Can't remember, but if you do a Google image search for "unreleased warhammer" you get tons of stuff they've shown off at games days over the years, most of which have never seen the light of day (though there are exceptions, like the Farsight green from a few years ago). IIRC this is a cropped poster showing off some early work by various designers.

Any reason Bretts can't get the same full plate that the empire uses? That's 4+ base, throw in a shield for a 3+? Not bad with a 6++/5++ ward.
I mean, I know they only rock heavy armor now, but if it makes sense for anyone to be using Full Plate, it's the army of Knights!

The Brets are based on medieval knights, who didn't wear full plate, unlike the Empire's renaissance knights. Bretonnians in full plate would look out of place, and too much like Empire.
