Its an entire detachment or airborne Marbos!

But really I must of had an error, here is the actual list.

HQ- CCS p.pistol, powerfist, x2 plasmaguns, x2 bodyguards, astropath

Troops- veteran squad, x3 flamers, demolition, chimera with hull h.flamer
Troops- " "
Troops- " "

Troops- veteran squad, x3 meltaguns, vendetta with heavy bolter sponsons
Troops- " "
Troops- " "

Heavy support- Leman russ demolisher, Hull heavy bolter
Heavy support- Leman russ demolisher, Hull heavy bolter

The tactic that I've been using is the three flamer vet squads can rush forward and either take out enemy infantry or have a go at some light vehicles, or jump straight on an objective then the two demolishers can offer support against infantry and/or enemy armor.
Then because of the astropath my reserves come in on a 2+, so the vendettas come on and take out what armor is around and can become skimmers to drop the melta-vets on an objective or in their deployment zone.

Also, to get a bit more sustained fire i was thinking of swapping one of the flamer vet squads to grenade launchers and chimera with hull heavy bolter and heavy stubber, the role of this tank would be to sit covering a street, flank or objective.

The only thing I've struggled against so far is a blood angels land raider army.

So any thoughts guys? What do you think?

Oh if only you could fill every Force Org slot with Marbo(s)...

But where does your CCS sit on the field?

And it is a slight waste to have your BS4 veterans use flamers.

Also, you could probably drop the HB sponsons on the vendettas put the points elsewhere (like a Chimera for the CCS)

Other than that, it looks like a fun list.

This is my Leman Russ. There are many out there like it, but this one is mine. Without it, I am useless. Without me, it is useless.

Obliterators: They've got a gun for that.

Demolishers are too mediocre. I would take medusas, or colloseus (I cant spell worth a damn...)

The rest seems solid. I agree your command needs a ride.

I would also just switch the vets to plasmas (the ones in chimeras) and put a flamer on the hull. I find the hull heavy flamer to be plenty effective and the driving plasmas to be scarry too

that list is low bro your chimeras can handle the flames if you must get some plasma on those vets and drop the demo's for something more versatile like maybe manticores or griffons or collossus.... or anything other then the demo's i dont think they suit well

Bodyguards are meh.

Def astropath good choice.

Need better protection for your hq wrap an aegis or chimera them.

Flamers on vets is usually not the best idea. Cause other things can do that job bette( horde control) r. Guard have alot of access to pie plates. Plasmavets are the strongest load out for vets at the moment.

Demos look good on paper, but are just not worth their weight IMO, other things can do that job better ie manticore, bassie, medusa.

Hbs on vendettas aren't the best idea IMO because the dettas will be shooting targets that will laugh at str 5 ap4

If your going to run melta vets put the demolitions on them as they will be a suicide squad with 12 inch range.

Just my personal opinions.

Funny thing. If I'm not mistaken, the plural form of the word colossus can be colossus, colossi, colossuses. They are all acceptable spellings / pronunciations.

The only reason I have the flamers on the vets is because I can get 3 in a squad, so they can race forward and flame whatever's in cover, but I see what you mean, it is a waste of their BS4 so for the 3 veterans in chimeras how about this?

HQ- CCS, Plasma pistol, x4 plasma guns, astropath, camocloaks

Troop- Veteran squad- x3 grenade launchers, chimera with hull heavy bolter, multi laser an heavy stubber
Troop- Veteran squad- x3 plasma guns, demolition, chimera with hull heavy flamer

Troop- Veteran squad- x3 meltaguns in vendetta Heavy bolter sponsons
Troop- Veteran squad- x3 meltaguns in vendetta heavy bolter sponsons

Heavy support- Demolisher hull heavy bolter

Drop the Plasma Pistol and the Heavy Stubber. Drop two Plasma from your CCS which is on foot and should probably be static and give it a Lascannon to give you some Turn 1 AT fire. Remember they can issue Orders to themselves. Use the saved 30 points to upgrade your GLs to Plasma guns. Now your not using a sub-par weapon and have all of your Chimeras equipted the same.

If your looking for a home objective holder, I would consider dropping a Chimera and getting Forward Sentries and a HWS for a Vet unit, but I don't think 2 Chimera going out will cut it. I think you will need all 3. You will just have to cross that bridge when you come to it.

Good luck!

I'm going for a similar style of IG list to what you are planning, but I am having issues with choosing the right tanks: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/510188.page

Instead of going full Mech, I'm opting for Blitzkrieg with several Leman Russ Variants.
