Really curious to see if anyone knows who makes the below piece, as a bit of a backstory - it was obtained by an ex-gw manager about 10 years ago. Thought is that it's some sort of officially produced piece, maybe FW or GW, but having some trouble determining if that is actually the case.

Any help is appreciated!

It isn't anything I have in a FW catalog. And I have them going back to 2004-2005ish.

The closest match I have is the old Games Workshop foam "Chimera Bunker" with the Chimera removed and replaced with a resin bunker--but the bunker doesn't match any FW produced bunker.

They had one of those at the old Glen Burnie Battle Bunker. I'm pretty sure it was a GW piece, maybe FW, but long discontinued, or at least when I asked where I could get one the staffer told me it'd gone out of production a long while back.

I think there were some pieces done for shops and not put on sale to the public.

Thanks for the help so far guys, this was what I'd found out on it thus far as well - that it was a GW bunker only piece of terrain and wasn't sold. Wish we could find out still though if it was a gift to managers, a store item, or what. Keep the input coming!

It was made and cast by the Warhammer World team before Forge World was started. They sent them out to lots of stores.

Thanks! That seems to explain why it's so old and no FW catalogs have it as well.

Oh the internet with its knowledge. I would just have guessed some WWII piece with an Imperial bit glued to it.

I have seen that piece before I believe at the old HQ Bunker in Maryland, but I don't believe it was ever a Forge World piece that was commercially available. I think, though I'm not sure of it, that it was a piece made for use by GW but that was never for sale to the public. So if someone is saying "that's not Forge World!" I believe they are correct. GW has had some scenery over the years that they made for their own use in studio or stores that was never for sale.

Thanks for the help Target!

Confirmed it was part of a GW Promo, Pre-Forgeworld, done by the US Promo team back in 2003/2004. The master was made by Rob Hawkins, or possibly by Jason Buyaki.

I am reasonably sure it is older than that.

I am pretty certain it was among the terrain my local store (in the UK) used to play Inquisitor on (yes, I know it's the wrong scale, but it's what we had). I moved out of that town in late 2001, so it would predate that.

If not, a very similar-looking piece, which was sent to the store by GW and not available for general sale.

Darn, I got ninja'ed on this twice but I, too, saw / played on it at the old Glen Burnie bunker. Must be a very recognizable piece for so many of us to remember it but I think it was quite useful with the removable roof.

I see that one in the GW Tower center springfield, va store. Thought it was a pretty well home built terrain. Didnt think it was an actual release.

If we're talking about the one with the removable roof, I always thought that thing was custom made for the bunker out of foam or something.
