I wa looking at the FW Abaddon vs Loken set and frankly I love everything about the piece, particularly Ezekyle. The pose, the look and feel. I love the factAbaddon can now be bought in Cataphractii plate, as I felt it is wierd that a Traitor Legionaire would wear Indomitus pattern, particualrly Abaddon "Wrecking Ball" the Despoiler. I also love the fact he has a sword, probably for people like me who want him for a Chaos force.

Bur he's a bit chubby in the face! Which turns me away.

Personally I would like to have him in a MkIV/Justaerin helmet but have no way to get one (no online money account or whatever) and am not skilled with GS to sculpt. So I'm just asking around.

I literally love the model bar the head, and love Loken in entirety, but if I can't stand that tiny little bit, is it worth getting it?

I can agree that his face looks a little bit off, but it is definitely not "Fluffy" for Abaddon to wear a helmet, he almost always went without one from what I understood, It's also really going to depend on how his head will sit in there. On the normal cataphractii, the bottom of their heads are flat, it is actually more like a half helmet. Justaerin models use a normal style marine head and have the divet inside the collar to accomodate the "neck" piece of the helmet.

Loken always wore his helmet, but I believe it actually states in Galaxy In Flames that he removes his helmet before he goes to fight Abaddon, so I can see why it was modelled like that, because it is supposed to be the scene of their Iconic fight, I will personally be using the both of them in my SoH army.

I love the characters and Cataphractii is my favorite MK of terminator armor to date, so it is a win win for me. A lot of it could also be the Forgeworld paint style and wash style on the face, you may get the model and find out it's not actually "fat face"

They look great but I hate that topknot. I would cut it off and greenstuff long straight hair like the Horus Rising cover.

The Top Knot is trademark Abaddon, If his helmet was off, his hair was always in a top knot, there is not one passage I have ever read about him where his hair wasn't in a top knot. That is not Abaddon on the cover of Horus Rising, and 90% of the early Black Library art is all incorrect, One of them is displaying Sons of Horus iconography, but they are the wrong colors if it was meant to be the Sons, and they are Luna Wolves in that book, it's not until False Gods that they change over to the Sons.

Well, yeah, Abaddon kinda is a tool.

And that term applies in many, many ways to the Despoiler.

But to add to the remarks, I think the Abaddon head looks fine. The entire piece is beautiful and I love how it's prebuilt to allow you to remove the Loken/Abaddon models. That Abaddon model just screams CONVERT ME! for the CSM players out there who want to dump their 20 year old sculpt.

Oh yeah if I ran CSM Id pick him up in a heartbeat.
