I'm starting to paint a flamer for my space marine squad, and I'm looking for inspiration for how to paint it. I want to find a nice way to paint the small "bottle" under it, and not just paint it black / metallic, but with a color scheme that will "pop" more. Anyone would have picture/photo/artwork somewhere with ideas maybe?
I'm painting a Salamander squad, so mainly green and black FYI.

Thanks a lot.

if you are willing to suffer and regret it for the rest of your next few months till your skill improves: paint the top half of the bottle white-blue with a tiddly bit of reflection, and paint the bottom half black. To make it more convincing, add some waves into it.

I just painted mine red. Easy to do and worked for me. The painting is a little rough but it is probably enough to show the look. (he is part of the first models i painted)

Yellow and black hazard stripes could look good.

I have decided to go for a red bottle for now. I'm not 100% satisfied but I think it's not bad for now.
