First of all I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking about this but as far as i can tell im not.

I'm currently working on a fallen Blood angels army. In this army i want some Hellbrutes that count as dreadnoughts to come out of drop pods. Now the problem is that I'm going to have to chaosify my drop pods to make them fit in with the rest of the army and there don't seem to be any conversion kits available, except for buying the extremely expensive FW chaos drop pod. What in stead i would like to do is the following.

I'm buying some Forgeworld Land raider doors to go on my land raider crusader to make it look less loyalist and i would like to make a mold of the relief on these doors which i can then fill with green stuff and then stick onto the drop pod doors to make them hopefully look a lot more like they belong.

Now my problem is that i have absolutely no idea how to go about creating the mold and was wondering whether anyone has any suggestions as to how i could go around doing this. I would prefer products which are available in the EU ofc.

If a moderator finds this thread to be inappropriate due to its nature please feel free to lock and delete it as i wish not to cause any offence.

Try either "Instant Mold" from the UK or the Japanese equivalent "Oyumaru" - get it via Amazon. Personally I use Oyumaru as even with postage it is far cheaper and you can therefore stock up and keep your personal molds.

To use simply put the stuff into nearly boiling water for a few seconds, it will become pliable and then simply press onto the surface you need to copy. Let it cool, then carefully peel it off (it will not even stick to itself once cooled so two part molds are relatively simple to produce).

Voila you have your press mold.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Dakka does not support casting other people's work.

However, if you made your own designs and wanted to recast them, Wilycoyote's advice is spot on. I would also suggest using miliput to use in the moulds as it is softer when unset than greenstuff, so easier to push into the mould.

I am locking the thread as DakkaDakka does not condone recasting copyrighted models.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
